The Center on Technology and Disability (CTD) recently released the video "A Teacher's View of Assistive Technology." In the video, teachers of students with a range of learning needs discuss the ways in which assistive technology can help. Teachers provide examples of low- to high-tech tools that are easily integrated into a classroom environment.
The video was produced by Dicapta for the CTD and supports CTD’s educational programs for institutions of higher education. We used CDT guidelines, as well as Dicapta’s advisors and resources, to address the most common perceptions and misperceptions among teachers regarding Assistive Technology (AT) discussions during Individualized Education Programs (IEP) meetings. This video is also helpful for parents, since parents are also part of the IEP meetings.
